Now Fight! The game starts off with the main character fighting a big lion monster.
There is no real strategy required, just walk right into it and swing like crazy.
Story Time. You will learn about how the main character is a prisoner among others,
fighting for "Entertainment." Your friend, Willy, will tell you that mana is fading,
or some crap, and tell you to go tell a Gemma knight named Bogard, who live in the falls.
You’re probably thinkin’, "...The fuck?" Well, the main character is too, so don’t worry.
Now you can move. Talk to the people, and they’ll basically tell you to go upstairs.
You can’t go anywhere else anyways, so walk. As you walk out...what’s this?
Another silly lion monster! Do the same as you did last time. Now that you’ve finished that,
The dude will escape. Head Directly West. You will hear the Dark Lord and some dude
named Julius talk about the mana tree Being above the waterfall, and that a girl holds
the "Key" to getting up there. Afterwards, Dark Lord will see you and chase you to a cliff,
which he will knock you off.
I believe in miracles! The dude lives! Now walk. Head east and watch out for these enemies.
They might not be as strong as the Lion monster, but you’ll encounter way more little dudes,
so keep you HP up. Make sure you kill all the enemies you can on the way, as you’ll need a
lot of experience in this game. Fight around for a little bit. East is the village of Topple.
When you find it, go Southeast from the entrance. You’ll see a wounded man and an
obviously frightened girl.
Just kill the Mushroom thingie, and talk to the dude.
He will tell you to take the girl to Wendel and talk to Bogard. You will tell her that
you’re looking for Bogard too, and kindly offer to take her with you. Whee, now you have a
friend! When you have a friend, open up the menu and select ask, and your friend will
perform a special take. The girl will gradually recover your HP for a few seconds, very
nice for when you get poisoned. Anyways, finally head on out to Topple.
At Topple, buy an Iron Helmet, 3 sets of Keys, and 3 sets of Cures. Talk to the people
and they will talk to you about a crazy old man by the waterfall who used to be a
gallant knight. No one will tell you where that is though, but I’ll tell you.
Simply just head East, then North, up and around basically.
Head West, and up and down all the crazy vines to Reach Bogard’s house.
You’ll have to pester him a bit to get him talking. Bogard will tell you a sappy little story
about victory and all the cool stuff. After all that, he’ll tell you to get the Mattock
in the next room. Afterwards he says to go through the cave to the east, go to Wendel,
and find a dude named Cibba. Now just head east to the cave.
The cave is small, all you need to do is use the Mattock to break the rocks, and then
follow the path. When you’re out of the cave, follow the path east. When you reach the house,
go inside and purchase the Battle Axe for 150 GP (Don’t carry on without it). After that,
carry on to the swamp area. You’ll want to head to the Southeast, and probably carry a set of
Pure on you (The enemies in this area should drop some). Eventually you’ll reach a Hotel-like
place called Kett’s.
The manager dude will tell you that the room to the left is available. Go in there and just
walk on the bed to sleep. In the middle of the night, The chick will, for no reason,
tell you that you should be able to use Cure magic, so she gives you the spell of Cure.
Now you have a use for that silly MP (I hope you’ve kept your wisdom score up).
When you wake up, the girl will be missing, head out to the main room, and from there head
to the north room. Talk to them and they’ll tell you of a Mystic Mirror, and the
Lizardmen’s nest in the south. Head out from Kett’s and go east. You’ll find an opening
in the south, head down, that place is the Lizard’s Nest.
Kill all the lizards and then grab the Bronze Key in the Middle. From there, head Northeast
to the Marsh Cave.
Just equip the Bronze Key to get in.
Talk to the man inside, and he’ll offer you his assistance. Ask Ability: He just gives you
advice and such. Head northwest in the cave. Just follow the path. There’s an area with a
button you must press for the staircase to show, just press the button and carry on. Follow
the small outside path around. Inside, there will be a dead end with some rocks. This is a
place where the Red Mage’s advice, and hit walls to find a distinct sound. Hit that wall
with your Mattock (I will try to provide pictures).
Through there, you’ll find
the sickle. This weapon cuts plants, so you’ll have to equip it to get out. Now head all the
way back to the beginning. Head SOUTH from the entrance this time, and you’ll find another
Mattock Dead end. Hit the West wall and proceed.
From there, head all the way to
the left, as far as you can North (You’ll have to use the Sickle), and the East. Use the
Mattock to break the boulder, revealing a staircase. Follow the path, and you’ll find a
locked door. Here’s where those Key sets come in handy. You’ll always wanna have a few on
you. The next room will contain your first puzzle. The first thing you’ll need to do it
step on the top Glass tile so It slides you onto the fake switch. Use the Mattock to break
the boulders, and walk around and break the other Boudlers and step on the switch.
All enemies in the room have to be dead before the switch works. Refer to the pictures.
When outside, cure up, equip the Battle Axe and face the boss.
You’ll want to avoid standing on front of the Dragon, unless you’re facing its direction,
as the shield deflects its fireballs. and when it moves down, go up into the corner and hit
it in the head. Make sure you have Cure equipped.
After you beat the boss, you’ll find two treasure chests: One contains the spell of Fire,
and the other has the mirror. The Red Mage will tell you to show it to the manager guy
at Kett’s, and then he’ll magically disappear. At any rate, you should head back to Kett’s.
At Kett’s, equip the Mirror, and talk to the dude. He’ll go all crazy and turn into a
werewolf. This mini boss isn’t hard at all, just equip the Ax and let your will power gauge
go to full, and throw the axe at him a few times. In fact, you can take a lot of his life
by just swinging immediately, regardless of what weapon you’ve got on. Now that he’s dead
(You won, right?), go into the next room. Follow the straight obvious path until you get
to the room in this picture.
Hit the east wall with a Mattock. Now keep on
following the Straight obvious path until you hit this room.
Use the Mattock
to break the jars, and then hit the switch revealing the downstairs path. Now keep on
following the path (You’ll need a key to get through one of the doors) and you’ll find the
Chain. The chain can grab onto poles, just like the one in that room. To get out, swing
the chain toward the pole, like this.
Now you know how, for the rest of the walkthrough. Hit the switch and go back to the Jar
room, and go upstairs. You’ll be on the roof. You’ll need to use the chain to get across
the gap. Continue on the straight path. You’ll reach a cliff where you need to chain over
the gap. Go right from there and you’ll find as room where pots are guarding the correct
door. Use the mattock. In the next room, use the treasure just by pushing it on the switch,
then go downstairs. In that next room, hit the pot on the right side with your Mattock,
then go downstairs and follow the path (You’ll need a key.). The next room is a room with
coffins. The girl is in this coffin.
The girl will now be in your group. Now you just leave, right? NAH! When you get to the
main room, Mr. Lee will attack you.
Stay at the far back of the room and use all your MP on Fire magic.
Then if he hasn’t died yet, stay at as far away as possible, attacking with your Chain.
You’ll get the Sleep spell upon victory.
"Wendel is to the south! Let’s hurry!" You heard her. Go south beyond the Lizardmen’s nest.
To get through you’ll have to use the Sickle to cut the leaves. Go Southeast from there,
and the castle-like area is Wendel.
Go into the big building in the back and you’ll meet Cibba, who will acknowledge that
the girl has the Key to mana, or whatever...then he’ll tell the girl to stand in the
center of the room... You’ll see her mother, who will tell you all about how she sealed
the Waterfall in the past and all that good stuff. After that, you’ll hear some rumbling
crap and that Red Mage who helped you earlier will tell you that Glaives are attacking,
and that he’ll take her to a "Safe place." You decide to "Go check" where he took her.
Go outside, and you’ll see that the village is full of monsters. Leave the town and you’ll
see the Red Mage, who will reveal himself as Julius. Julius will laugh in your face and
then kick your ass in the nuts.
You’ll awake in the building with Cibba. Cibba tells you that Julius escaped to the airship
in the West, so you head off that way. Cibba gives you the spell of Heal before you leave.
Now it sounds like it’s pretty easy, just go left...right? No! Left! ...Right! Uh anyways,
no, it isn’t that easy. You need to go through a bunch of crap before you actually get to
the good stuff. Go west, you’ll need to use the Battle Axe to cut down some of the trees
along the way. From there head South, to find the Dwarf Cave.
