Outside of Jadd, you'll begin a long, long, long travel north. I personally do not recommend
riding the chobobo to get where you need to go, as you could really use the levels. Head
down, right, and then up. From there you can generally head northeast. When you get here
, equip your axe and chop down the trees. Continue to follow the path until you
get to to this area.
You can head south down the vines on the right to reach a
shop.
Here, you can buy a lot of magic items, including some ether if you have
some spare change. Otherwise, or when you get back to the fork, head west to reach THIS
cave.
Enter the cave, you'll have to leave your chocobo.
This cave is really short. Seriously, all you need to do is equip the Were Axe and follow
the straight path. When you get here,
Heal up and save. Then go in and fight Metal
Crab.
The Metal Crab is vulnerable in the face (Between its claws). The only decent way to beat
this boss is to equip cure and run up and hit it, stupid cave man style. Be sure to cure a
LOT, and be very careful.
Upon beating the Metal Crab, a staircase will appear in the lower right. Go down the
stairs and follow the path straight out of the cave.
Follow the zig-zag path HERE
From here, east to find an item shop.
Be sure to buy some keys and mattocks if you're low on them. You can go south and to the
right to find this pond
Walk under the south-center to restore your HP. Back here,
take the right (right as in eastern) path leading up. When you get to THIS fork,
take the east-righty vine to reach THIS shop.
Here you can buy Opal
armor equipment. Be sure to stick around and raise money for this stuff if you don't have
enough. Back at that fork, take the west-lefty vine to get HERE,
and chop the
trees down with the Axe and go around and follow the path until you get HERE
, go
right, down, chop the trees, and then go down and around to reach HERE.
This cave is rather confusing, and a lot like the last dungeon in Link's Awakening, you'll
be taken to the beginning if you don't follow the path correctly. From the beginning, go up,
right, and right again. Mattock THIS wall
. Follow the straight path HERE
...and place a Treasure box on one of the tiles, and then remove it from the tile. Now
continue on. From the next room
go right, right (Key), right, down, down, down,
right, right. Aside from gaining 30 lives ( :P ), you'll reach this area.
Go up
the stairs, heal, equip the Chain, and save. Now go to the right and face the Cyclops.
A good way to defeat the Cyclops is to NOT stay in front of it at all. When it moves
forward to strike, hit it from under or over with the Chain. Have the Cure Spell ready
just in case. After defeating the Minotaur, you'll receive the Morning Star, which is
really strong AND works like a mattock, so no need to buy them anymore (I will still use
the verb mattock when I want you to break a wall though). Heal, save, and continue.
Back in the cave, just wander back to the beginning. From there, go up and use a key to
open the door. Heal and Save. Walk in and fight the OTHER boss, the Golem.
The Golem can only be hurt with the Morning Star (You probly know this if you tried to
fight him before). A good way to beat him is to stay on the top of the screen (On the
opposite side of course) Just walk around him when he gets close, or as he's coming back
from a dash. Be sure to have the Cure Spell ready, you probly won't dodge him ALL the time.
After beating the Golem, you'll receive the spell of Lit, which comes in a bit of handy for
those monsters who need to be killed with magic. Follow the path and you'll exit outside of
a waterfall.
You'll probly notice this area from the beginning of the game; it's the castle where you
escaped from, haw. Enter the castle, for great justice.
